About Bettger and Associates, Inc.

We appreciate that the market for organizational and individual improvement services can look like a maze. One might find an expert in one functional area (e.g., consulting or coaching) with other providers offering multiple services but only to a certain market.  Bettger and Associates, Inc. arose out of the idea that functional support services can and should be (1) integrated, and (2) offered across markets. While every client is unique, we have found that there is considerable cross-learning and best practices to offer across projects.

Our President and Founder, Gary Bettger, has absorbed these lessons over a thirty year career.  His formative stops (in reverse order), include: (1) Senior Manager at Booz Allen Hamilton - public and commercial sector consulting, staff and market development, intellectual capital creation, (2) Principal Strategy Consultant at Noblestar - commercial consulting, international practice development, (3) Practice Manager at Georgetown Economic Services - critical industry analyses, international market research practice, and (4) Senior Trade Analyst at US Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (entering as a Presidential Management Intern) - a government lead for international trade work.

Gary’s associated functional journey is emblematic of our suite of offerings today.  Starting out, he demonstrated a natural affinity for consulting, especially in the areas of strategic planning and performance management.  Over time though, colleagues encouraged him to realize that clients were facing related challenges in implementation, change, and broader improvement.  He thus gained additional experience and certifications in project management, change management, etc. A further outgrowth of his relationships was the realization that clients also require skill development and one-on-one coaching to supplement other modes of improvement.  As a result, Gary has served as an instructional designer and taught training courses worldwide. He also provides coaching as an internationally certified coach. Finally, he is an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University.

Learning is a lifelong endeavor and we at Bettger and Associates, Inc. appreciate the opportunity to join other active learners on this journey called life.  Like everyone, we are still growing/evolving, but would be honored along the way to share some aspect of what he have learned in support of your own organizational or individual development.  Best wishes!
